Soho Apartment Combo

Combination of two neglected post-war apartments into a spacious, loft-like home designed for a young family

Located in the heart of SoHo, one of Manhattan’s most vibrant and design-forward neighborhoods, this project combined two adjacent post-war units into a single open, loft-inspired residence. The gut renovation called for structural reconfiguration, new mechanical systems, and a complete reimagining of flow and light — a hallmark of sophisticated New York City apartment design.

The design embraced SoHo’s industrial character — exposed wood ceilings, generous ceiling heights, and raw material contrasts — while introducing refined finishes and family-friendly functionality. Custom built-ins, an open kitchen, and flexible living areas were designed to accommodate the rhythms of a growing family in the city.
